These Projects Live Forever

Plans are in the works at the CW for a spinoff of the '90s teen soap Beverly Hills 90210. The network might order a pilot by the end of the month. Meanwhile, Variety reports that a remake of the 1980 Alan Parker film, Fame, will go into production around Labor Day, to be directed by 23-year-old Kevin Tancharoen. So now would be a good time to buy stock in leg warmers, etc.
