Cape Fear

Seems the cape worn by Christopher Lee in the 1958 movie Dracula has been a popular rental item in a London costume shop for many years. The cape, valued at around $50,000 was recently discovered during the shop's annual inventory. The manager said she was "delighted" to have found the garment and has taken it off the racks after Mr Lee himself came in to verify the cape's authenticity . "In the run-up to Halloween," she said," we are frantically checking our other costumes, so that we do not inadvertently let a party-goer show up to a raucous fancy-dress party in any another precious piece of film history." You mean, like that overcoat worn by Peter Cushing in the same film? (BBC)
