The Dope Show

MmsplitDvtsplit
Back in 2003, two years before Dita Von Teese got married to Marilyn Manson, we rode in a limousine with her from Los Angeles to San Diego, where she was to perform her burlesque act for Playboy's annual party on the eve of the Super Bowl. Naturally, we asked her about life with her then-boyfriend, the Antichrist. "The difference between him and all my other boyfriends is that the novelty of me never wears off," she said. "Like, every time I put on seamed stockings and a corset and bright red lipstick, bells and whistles go off and he turns into that wolf in the cartoon. Every other boyfriend I've had has found that exciting for a while and then it's like, 'Whatever. Do you have to get dressed up like that every time we go out?'"

LindsayringingupSadly, after a year of marriage to the stripper, Manson has turned into every other boyfriend, causing Von Teese to seek those bells and whistles elsewhere. It appears the "irreconcilable differences" she's citing in the divorce came about because she wants a baby and he wants to get high. Says a friend of hers: “Dita just had enough of his wild partying. Lindsay Lohan was always ringing up the house wanting to come round and party with him. The phone would go all through the night, with people turning up at the house to hang out. And he became paranoid as a result of the drugs he was taking. At one stage he thought the cleaner was trying to kill him." (Sun)
