Us Weekly is saying that Britney Spears may in fact not be simply a drug-and-food addled moron, but a bona fide mental case, which opens up a fresh new avenue for tab and blog coverage. God knows we needed one. According to the mag, "Sources say the troubled pop star does not seem to grasp the gravity of her custody case, and they blame her bizarre public behavior (swapping clothes with a stranger, among her recent moves) on psychological issues, not drugs. 'It’s not substance abuse — it’s mental!' a confidante tells Us."
