Shelf Life: Junior MacWednesday, January 25, 2006 04:47 AM tags: Celebrity
With Junior, an audaciously empty mishmash of poems, letters, comics, etc., former child star Culkin (of Home Alone fame) has managed to lower the already low bar set for celebrity fiction. We're sure it's not that bad. Well, we thought it couldn't be, until we got a closer look at the book's subtitle that rambles all over the cover: (or) Oscar De La Mancha, The Wembling Warrior, and the People I Like the Least (A Novel). A written project from the normal, well adjusted and 'No I don't have issues with my father!' mind of...junior (meaning me). Novel? But hey, Nicole Richie's The Truth About Diamonds made it to the LA Times' bestseller list. And we're pretty sure Mac himself actually put fingers to keyboard.
