Oh, GLAAD, where are you when we really need you? ABC's new fall series Work It thinks it's a modern twist on classic drag comedies like Bosom Buddies, Tootsie, and Some Like it Hot. Instead, it's clunky, ham-fisted, and insulting to transvestites, transsexuals, and women. Not only that, but as one YouTuber points out, "They've also set up this show in some sort of alternate reality where women dominate the workforce, and they discriminate against men so much so that the men are relegated to needing to dress up as women (oh what comedy!) just to get a job. It's like the premise was written by some bitter foolish man under the impression that modern women have somehow surpassed men in social status. Just complete & utter bullshit." Watch the preview at your own risk. I just hope Ru got paid A LOT to let them use her song.
