Spider-Man oh ManFriday, May 13, 2011 12:01 PM tags: Andrew Garfield, Broadway, Movies, Spider-man: Turn off the Dark, The Amazing Spider-Man, Vic Armstrong
As the re-imagined and overhauled Broadway musical behemoth, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, began its previews on Broadway, The Amazing Spider-Man movie was shooting on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Legendary stuntman Vic Armstrong, who has directed scenes for the film, says that the action will rely less on CGI and more on real stunts performed by the arachnoid hero's portrayer, Andrew Garfield. "He is very much in the Daniel Day-Lewis method of getting totally into it," said Armstrong, "so we’ve integrated him into as much of the flying as we could, and as much of the action, the poses, and the body movement."
