THE DAILY FREAK SHOW: DAMIANA GOES TO RYAN TRECARTIN'S 'ANY EVER' OPENING AT MOCA

When WOW reporter Damiana Garcia went to the opening reception for Ryan Trecartin's "Any Ever" show at MOCA at The Pacific Design Center, it was as if she had descended upon a veritable Who's Who of new progressive queer artists from LA to NYC. Damiana mingled with the acclaimed artist himself and his creative partner Lizzie Fitch, their fabulous and alluring ensemble cast (including wowlebrity Mary Ann Heagerty!), fashion designer Jeremy Scott, singer Sam Sparro, performance artists Zackary Drucker and Wu Ingrid Tsang, gallery curator Elizabeth Dee (an early champion of Ryan's work), MOCA's Samuel Vasquez and Elizabeth Greenway, and many more. The next day Damiana went to DIS Magazine's pool party/luncheon honoring Ryan, held at a lavish 1920's Spanish-style mansion in sunny Los Feliz, where mojitos flowed freely, the mood was sexy and the predominant look was Summer Goth. The Germs' Don Bolles made an appearance, as well.
