Photoshopaholic Annie Liebovitz in trouble againThursday, November 05, 2009 06:06 PM
This time it's with Italian photographer Paolo Pizzetti who accuses Annie of using two of his photographs without permission in a major ad campaign for which she took the sole photo credit. Pizzetti is seeking $150,000 for each instance of "infringing derivative work," an injunction preventing Leibovitz from using the photos, and costs and fees. Apparently, a few years ago La Liebovitz asked him to go scout some locations for her in Italy. He sent back dozens of digital pics, including one of the Piazza San Marco (above) and one of the Trevi Fountain. Well, you can imagine his surprise when Annie's Lavazzo coffee calendar came out and he saw lingerie models Photoshopped onto HIS pictures! She didn't even bother getting rid of the bird flying in the upper left corner, or try and disguise her blatant thievery in any way! She just plopped a nearly naked girl onto the scene and went about her business! Can you imagine? Well, of course you can. Now, according to Page Six they are thisclose to a settlement. But really. The woman needs to be stopped.
