In the pre-Photoshop era, it appears that newspapers and magazines covered up salacious celebrity skin by simply drawing new clothes onto the pictures. On the left, the sight of Charleton Heston's chest in The Omega Man was deemed unsuitable for the LA Times, while on the right, Francis Farmer's decolletage in Flowing Gold was considered too distracting. Both were redrawn accordingly. With Sharpies, obvs. (via Gawker)
