Thanksgiving: The MovieThursday, July 09, 2009 02:55 PM
The "coming attraction" trailer for Eli Roth's splatter pic Thankgiving was arguably the most awesome part of the Quentin Tarantino-Robert Rodriguez double feature, Grindhouse. Sadly, it was only a trailer, with no movie coming soon. But recently Roth told Cinematical that he's getting very close to making it a real feature presentation. "That movie, the financing, the money is in a bank account," Roth said. "I mean, I could literally say I'm starting production tomorrow and we'd start. It's 100 percent up to me." The film's tentatively set to go into production after he's made Endangered Species, and he's working on the script with co-writer Jeff Rendell, who played the Pilgrim in the trailer. So yay, right? But it's gonna be tough to top the trailer.
