The Babysitter

Actor-musician Billy Bob Thornton's estranged daughter, 29-year-old Amanda Bob Brumfield, was indicted yesterday for the October, 2008, murder of the one-year-old girl she was babysitting – her godchild. The charges against her include first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter. She is being held without bail at the Orange County Jail in Ocoee, Florida. Although Brumfield claims the little girl fell out of her playpen, an autopsy concluded that the 28-inch fall could not have caused the skull fracture or the bleeding of the brain which led to coma and death.
