Jeremy Simmons, director of the World of Wonder-produced documentary The Last Beekeeper, was constantly injured in the line of duty – by his actors! The film screens at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Saturday, June 20, at 2:30PM at the Regent, and on Thursday, June 25, at 4:45PM at the Landmark 4. It's got lots of buzz. Simmons might be somewhat more difficult to recognize these days without the bee-sting swellings on his mug, but he'll be the one introducing the film on both days and conducting Q&As afterward.

Also: Planet Green, the Discovery offshoot that specializes in environmentally friendly programming, has acquired Simmons' The Last Beekeeper to air as part of its "Reel Impact" series on Sept 12. And seriously, he doesn't look like that anymore.
