The Charred Octopussy Salad from Cook to Bang caught my hungry eye this morning as I scanned my facebook news stream. I discovered CTB just a few months ago when I met "the Chef" at one of those glamorous Hollywood Hills house parties I'm always attending. I joined his CTB group on facebook, and have been rewarded by a steady flow of beautifully photographed dishes with hilarious and easy-to-follow recipes, all with sexual double entendre names. "The Chef" and founder of CTB is actually a writer and creative executive in Hollywood and has this to say about the origins of CTB: The life of a writer is either one of a pauper or prince. The ability to cook well allows this Chef to make it through lean times, but more importantly, to woo women he can’t afford to take on triple digit date. Cook To Bang was hatched after The Chef observed the rookie mistakes his friends made splurging on dates that ended up with nothing more than a kiss on the cheek. Cook to Bang is a community service for celibate schmos. The Chef hopes these simple recipes inspire you to cook, eat, drink and screw with reckless abandon. COOK TO FUCKING BANG!"
