"I say don't fuck with fashion". That's Nikki Finke's response to the Academy Awards producers' threat to pull presenters off the red carpet. Meanwhile, over at salon.com, Camille Paglia says of Kate Winslet's Golden Globes gown, "The elegant, architectural, black satin strapless gown.....ultimately descends from the voluptuous black sheath that Jean-Louis designed for Rita Hayworth's...striptease in 'Gilda'". Nikki Finke and Camille Paglia, who both bring me great pleasure regularly, seem unlikely fashion authorities AND an unlikely duo; but they did get me thinking. Wouldn't it be HOT to see them working the red carpet? Now that's TV I would watch!
